Accounting Services
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: including working directly with vendors and customers.
Payroll: including processing payroll using the software provider of your choice, funding benefit accounts, paying wage garnishments, as well as creating electronic timesheets and PTO tracking, responding to employee payroll questions, and filing and paying monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll taxes. If you already use a full-service payroll provider, we'll double check their work. You can never be too careful with your employees' taxes!
Monthly Closing: including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and recording journal entries for the deferred revenue schedule, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, etc.
Annual 1099 Filing: preparing and filing electronic state and federal 1099s, which allows the contractor to receive the 1099 quickly and securely, while also giving clients proof of receipt.
Cash Forecasting: providing a cash forecast based on historical accounting data and working closely with the client to capture potential future cash transactions.
Internal Audit Support: providing support for clients that are required to have internal audits, either due to their non-profit status or requests by boards of directors, including locating supporting documentation requested by auditor, researching, and correcting potential errors, providing explanation of accounting transactions, etc.
Filing Annual Returns and Reports: including business property tax, state and local business licenses, state annual reports, charitable organization registrations, etc.
Other Services: accounting and payroll software setup, working with government agencies to reconcile tax issues, working with client’s CPA for annual tax preparation, and administering annual workers’ compensation and profit-sharing plan audits.
HR Services
Onboarding: assisting with the onboarding process for new hires, including providing secure electronic paperwork, processing benefit enrollments, submitting new hire information to E-Verify and the state agency, etc.
Payroll-Related Benefit Administration: seamlessly incorporating employee deductions and employer contributions into the payroll process.
Employee Handbook and Company Policies: drafting a new employee handbook and/or company policies or providing an annual review of current ones to ensure that policies and procedures are compliant with changing state and federal labor laws.
Job Descriptions and Salary Research: working with management and employees to write job descriptions or reviewing those that are already in place to ensure that they accurately reflect the employee’s current responsibilities. *For salary research, clients must have or be willing to subscribe to a job research database, such as CompAnalyst.
Advisement: offering advice on benefits and personnel issues based on federal and state laws.
Personnel File Maintenance: creating and maintaining a comprehensive personnel filing system using standard software (Excel, Google Sheets, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.), which is particularly helpful for processes like workers’ compensation audits and retirement account censuses.
Compensation Summaries: providing individual compensation summaries to client’s employees at year-end.
Fees
All services for new clients are $65 per hour.
After each year of service, the hourly rate will increase $1.00, capped at $75.
We'll work with you to ensure that we don't go over the amount you've allotted for our services.
Client referrals are available upon request after the initial consultation.
